Worship

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”

Matthew 19:14

During the 8:30 am and 11:00 am worship services, children ages 3 through 2nd grade are welcome to participate in the Children’s Minutes portion of FUMCA’s worship services.  These lessons, led by church staff and volunteers, take place on the steps of the altar.  Lessons are designed to compliment each Sunday’s sermon and are a chance for children to learn and apply the same lessons as the “older” children in the congregation.

Afterwards children can attend Children’s Church. Children’s Church offers fun opportunities for children to engage in worship and education. Children’s Church participants are escorted by adults from the Sanctuary to Room 201 (Elementary Ages) and Room 106 (Preschool Ages). At Restore, the children meet in the Children’s Church area in the Restore Lobby.

Training is available for children currently enrolled in 2nd – 5th grade to serve as acolytes during the 8:30 am and 11:00 am worship services.
